Parks and Recreation will be activating a new Community Message Centre to replace the former 27 year old Read-a-Board on the corner of McBride Boulevard and Sixth Avenue. The new electronic Community Message Centre is capable of posting hundreds of messages per day that can use text, images and video.

The Community Message Centre supports the City’s strategic initiatives to promote Neighbourhood Livability, Tourism, Healthy Communities & Individuals while supporting the Parks and Recreation Comprehensive Plan and Community Arts Strategy. The message centre will help the City achieve these initiatives by advertising City and community services that enhance the quality of life and health for our community and residents.
