Descriptive Text:
In April of 2006, City Council accepted an offer from the Rotary Club of New Westminster to provide a decorative four dial outdoor public clock for installation in Moody Park at the corner of Sixth Avenue and Eighth Street. To accommodate the clock, an entry plaza was designed to feature the clock while creating a more visually attractive park and intersection for the City.
This project was completed in partnership with the New Westminster Rotary Club whom contributed significant funds.
It is felt that the Rotary Clock and plaza will function as valuable community feature that will help beautify the City while attracting residents and visitors to the park.
