CANADA GAMES POOL SEPTEMBER CLOSURE
Canada Games Pool and Fitness Centre will be closed
from Tuesday, September 7 to Monday, September 20.
It will re-open on Tuesday, September 21.


Canada Games Pool was built in 1972 to host the Canada Summer Games scheduled for 1973. In 1983, the mezzanine floor, previously a spectator area, was converted to a first class fitness and weight area. Since being built, Canada Games Pool has become a premier aquatic and fitness destination renowned for its quality of instruction, equipment, affordable pricing and customer service.

Do you want fun! Canada Games Pool delivers. We also have a one meter and a three meter diving board as well as a five and seven meter tower. But that is just the beginning. Our fun supervisor will run activities and games to make sure that you have a great time.

The Olympic-sized pool has a shallow end, great for children or water walking. A middle section devoted to lengths swimming and a deep end complete with diving towers boards and an area for water running.


Do ya feel lucky? If you are aged 15 years or older and like to live on the edge you may want to attend an adult swim on Monday, Wednesday or Sunday nights from 8:30 - 9:55 pm. Whether you’re a swimmer or just a paddler, you can enjoy our special adult swims. Bring some friends or come to meet new ones! There’s water aerobics in the deep end, volleyball, ping pong, and lots of floating equipment to relax on, What a great way to end the day!

A teach/toddler pool is equipped with a mini-slide for the little tykes as well as a huge collection of water toys. We have water machine contraptions, floating boats, water cans and buckets, sand toys, sinky rings, just to name a few.
During parent and tot swims this area transforms into a child’s dream with helium balloons, bubbles from our bubble machine, fun foam water tunnels, and children’s music which all add up to an excellent atmosphere for young children. A fun supervisor may even pay a visit and bring drawing chalk to decorate your surroundings, or washable face paint to transform children into fun and interesting creatures. Who knows what other surprises will be in store for you.



At Canada Games Pool we pride our selves on offering the best swimming lessons in the Lower Mainland. In fact, we event went to the extent of creating our very own swimming lesson program. With our lesson program we focus on swimming fundamentals in order to ensure water safety. We also pride ourselves on customer service and our lesson program is a testament to our commitment. We offer a complete series of learn to swim lessons from preschoolers and school-aged children, right up to adults.Whether you are a beginner or an aspiring competitor, Canada Games Learn to Swim program is a sure-fire way to success.
A water babies/ parent and tot lesson. Babies as old as 6 months can participate in swimming lessons with adult assistance. Water baby lessons are shown to improve kinesthetic intelligence.

On-Deck Activities
What better way to end your Canada Games Pool experience than by relaxing in our swirlpool. Nice and hot to soothe away the stresses of your day or tensed muscles from an intense work out.

We also have a swirlpool, sauna and on-deck basketball and ping pong areas are perfect for a little R&R. Canada Games Pool has the biggest collection of water toys in the Lower Mainland. Floating tubes, foam logs and mats, giant rubber saucers and tons of toddlers toys make a trip to the pool a slice of heaven for the kids. During every public swim 'fun supervisors' ensure that the fun and games never stop!
Fitness Centre

For those serious about fitness, the pool has a mezzanine fitness area equipped with state-of the art equipment and the latest in treadmills, LifeCycles and Stairmasters. A free weight area, an on-deck Nautilus Fitness Circuit and Hammer Strength Area are available for strength training and on-site trainers can set up individualized fitness programs.
