QUEENSBOROUGH COMMUNITY CENTRE INFORMATION
Queensborough Community Centre is a place for all ages. We celebrate the community's diversity by offering a wide variety of programs and services. Tots and school-aged children participate in special craft workshops with holiday themes, cultural activities and sport opportunities. An active youth group - Teensborough take part in Youth Council meetings, evening drop-ins, outtrips and special events. Mom and Dad can choose parenting workshops, seasonal activities and fitness classes. Seniors enjoy the social time during the monthly teas, weekly bingo, bus trips and special events. For many this is a place where friends meet.

Queensborough Community Centre also has a fully equipped weight room with free weights, cable crossover and multi-station, stationary bicycles, tread mill and a stair climber. There is also a large gymnasium that you will find individuals playing basketball, indoor soccer and ball hockey.

Queensborough Community Centre is also home to the Queensborough Special Programs Committee. This volunteer committee is instrumental in coordinating a number of community events such as monthly family dinner, Queensborough Day and the Urban Farmers Fall Fair that Queensborough is known for. This group also strives to preserve the history of the community at the centre. This can be seen through the picture collages in the lobby, the three large wall murals depicting a time in history, the family plaques board which recognizes long time families and the beautiful handmade quilt that brings together the community groups and organizations that support the Queensborough Special Programs committee’s efforts.

This is a community centre in its truest definition. Please drop by to experience a sense of belonging.
