SUBSIDY SUPPORT
Financial Support
Individuals seeking financial support to access New Westminster Parks and Recreation services must be residents of New Westminster, in financial need and be willing to pay a minimum of 50% of the qualifying service(s). To determine financial need, applicants are required to visit Fraserside Community Services at 519 – 7th Street (2nd floor), 604-522-3722.
Fraserside volunteers or staff will assess you financial means and determine if you qualify for subsidized recreation services. If you do qualify, Fraserside staff will complete a form with you identifying desired services and submit it to New Westminster Parks and Recreation Administration Office: 600 Eighth Street, 604-527-4567.
After a minimum of one full working day, the applicant will need to drop by NWPR administration office to complete the discounted service purchase.
Disability Support
Individuals that can provide the New Westminster Parks and Recreation Administration Office, 600 Eighth Street, with written documentation that you are on a disability pension program may apply for an ACCESS PASS. This pass must be presented at the time of the service purchase and permits the cardholder into swim, skating and fitness admission programs at the senior fee. ACCESS PASSES are only issued at NWPR Administration Office and documentation is required.
